Butler - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 27, 1956 Parish Resident's Mother Dies On January 17th Mrs. Mamie E. Butler, age 85, died January 17th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. L. Kuhn, where she had made her home for the past 20 years. She was a native of Woodstock, Virginia, and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Houston, Texas. Services were held on Thursday, January 19 at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Irvin Cheney officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cress Cemetery, with arrangements under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. B. L. Kuhn and four grandchildren.
