Byrd - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 20, 1983 Services for Mrs. Ada C. Byrd, 86, of Tallulah were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Crothers Funeral Home Chapel in Tallulah with the Rev. Mark Diehl officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mrs. Byrd died Monday at Delta Haven Nursing Home after a long illness. She was a native of Centerville, Miss. and a resident of Tallulah for 65 years. She was a retired schoolteacher, housewife and member of Tallulah Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her sister. Mrs. Hannie Wade of Grace, Miss.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Carroll Crow, H.C. Sevier Jr., Maurice Ursery, Louis Nettles, Cordes Williamson and Jon Burchardt.
