Byson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post, March 5, 1937 MADISON PARISH RESIDENT DIES TALLULAH, La., March 5-Mrs. K. E. Byson, a resident of Madison parish for several years, died in Vicksburg, Wednesday night of pneumonia. She was formerly of Minnesota. Funeral services will be held from the Methodist church here this afternoon with interment following in Silver Cross cemetery. The Rev. C. K. Smith will officiate. Mrs. Byson is survived by her husband and two sons, of Tallulah. From Madison Journal March 12, 1937 MR. K. E. BYSON Mrs. K. E. Byson of Mound, died Wednesday night, March 3 at nine o'clock in Vicksburg, after a short illness. The remains were brought here and the funeral was conducted Friday afternoon from the Methodist Church with the Rev. C. Karlos Smith officiating. Mrs. Byson was born August 17, 1881 in Algona, Iowa. On February 22, 1859 she was married to Kinney E. Byson, and they made their home in Iowa for a while. Later they moved to Minnesota and several years ago they moved to this parish where Mr. Byson purchased a farm near Mound. Mrs. Byson is survived by her husband, K. E. Byson and two sons, Ralph and Oscar all of Tallulah. She is also survived by two adopted daughters, one of whom is married and living in Denver, Colo., and the other at present living in the Byson home.
