Camorer - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Madison Journal December 28, 1916 E. C. Camorer About noon yesterday Mr. E. C. Camorer was killed at the Banner plantation by Mr. W. M. Summers, manager for F. C. Milligan, owner of Huon and Banner. The Journal has been unable to get details in regard to the tragedy but learned that a coroner's investigation immediately after the killing resulted in a verdict that the killing was in self defense and that Mr. Camorer was attempting to kill Mr. Summers with a shotgun. Mr. Camorer was from Iowa and at one time part owner of the plantations mentioned above and still had some interest in same. It appears that the difficulty arose over differences in connection with the places and that Camorer had ordered Summers off the property which action finally lead to heated words followed up by an attack on Summers by Camorer.
