Cardwell, Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana September 12, 1944 ~ December 12, 2023 79 Years Old From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Tallulah, LA December 2023 James A. Cardwell, Sr. passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at his home in Tallulah, Louisiana, at approximately 6:00 PM due to past complications COPD status. He was 79 years old. Mr. Cardwell requested to be cremated. He was born September 12, 1944, in Sondheimer, Louisiana, to Stanley Martin and Bonnie Haynes Cardwell. Mr. Cardwell is preceded in death by his father, Stanley M. Cardwell, Sr.; mother, Bonnie Cardwell; and brother, Ernest Gene Cardwell. He is survived by his son, James A. “Jay” Cardwell, Jr. and wife Darcy; grandchildren, Nikki and Matthew Cardwell; ex-wife and caregiver/friend, Sally Cardwell Isaac; brothers, Stanley M. “Buster” Cardwell, Frank M. “Bill” Cardwell, Dwight “Pete” Cardwell; sister, Bonnie Eileen Cardwell Homan; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will follow at a later date at his son’s home in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The family would like to send a special "thank you" to the Madison ambulance service (Terry and Candy), Dr. Neumann, the Madison Parish Sheriff's Department, the workers at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, our neighbors the Saldana family, and most definitely, our "in-law" Chad Williams.
