All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ida Stewart Carney - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal November 21, 1968 Rites Sunday For Mrs. Carney Mrs. Ida Stewart Carney, 84, Tallulah, died Saturday after at Madison Parish Hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Old Souhern Mortuary with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery. She was a native of Shaw, Miss, and had lived in Tallulah for e past 44 years, and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Caldwell of Clarksdale, Miss, and Mrs. M. Lane of Tallulah; one son, Howard Carney of Tallulah; one brother, J. A. Stewart of Marks, Miss.; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were James C. Martin, Otis Gunn, A. O. Maxwell, Jack Ward, R. E. Brown, and C. E. Walker.
