Monday October 20, 2008 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Carter and Rev. Jimmy Sims officiating. Interment will follow at Acree Cemetery in Point, LA. Mrs. Carter died October 18, 2008 in West Monroe. She is preceded in death by her husband, Guy Carter, Sr.; son, Earl Lipscomb; and daughters, Thelma Bryant and Judith McClain. Survivors include children, Ola Belle Watson and husband Morris, Edward Carter and wife Wanda, Ronald Carter and wife Linda, and Lou Ella Taylor and husband Steve; brother, Gradie Cartlidge and wife Joan; sister in-law, Bobbie Cartlidge; 21 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, and family and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
