All rights reserved. ************************************************ Miles Harvey Carter - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News Star Dec. 15, 2005 SHREVEPORT - Miles Harvey Carter, age 69, of Minden, LA, formerly of Tallulah, LA, died December 10, 2005 at Shumpert Medical Center's Grace Home in Shreveport, LA. He was born on July 25, 1936 in Winnsboro, LA. He served in the Air Force for twelve years, was an airman and he also worked with B52 Bombers on their missions. He was a Riverboat Captain for many years. He worked for three years for Swanson County Correctional Center for Youth and was AFSCME Union President of Council 17, Local 2460. His survivors include his three sons Harvey, Michael and Donald Williamson all of Rayville, LA; one stepdaughter Margaret Richardson and husband David of Tallulah, LA; eleven grandchildren Heather Cornett of North Carolina, Cody Marsh and Hunter Marsh both of Tallulah, Melody Almond of Tuscon, AZ, Jennifer Littleton of Rayville, LA, Rebecca, Harley, Christy, James, Jeremy and Johnathon Williamson all of Rayville, LA; seven great grandchildren Hannah, Gracie and Mitchell, Quinten Almond, Katlyn Mosley, Landon Littleton and Dony's baby. He was preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Ann Carter; his son James Timothy Williamson; his parents Millard Fillmore and Maude Irene Carter and his beloved wife of thirty-five years Esta Ann Tharpe. A memorial service will be held December 14, 2005 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Rayville, LA. Interment will be at Lynn Cemetery in Archibald, LA.
