(SMITH) - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Birmingham News March 27, 2008 CARTER, PATRICIA J. (SMITH), 76, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, following a lingering illness. A native of Eudora, AR, Pat retired from South Central Bell as a service manager in 1981 following 30 years service. She moved to Crescent City, FL, after retiring. Pat was a member and Sunday School teacher at the Georgetown United Methodist Church and had also served on the administrative board. Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughter, Paula D. Smith, Birmingham, AL.; two sisters: Sue J. Pierce of Hermitage, AR and Segis J. McKee of Tallulah, LA. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial services for Mrs. Carter will be at 12 Noon, Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Georgetown United Methodist Church, Georgetown, FL with Rev. George Zimmermann, pastor, officiating. Memorials in her name to the church would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. (Pat Jackson attended Tallulah High School in the middle 1940's.)
