Cheek - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, October 28, 1976 Funeral services for James T. Cheek, 70, of Tallulah were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, in the chapel of Crothers Funeral home with the Rev. Frank Shields officiating. Burial was in Epps Cemetery at Epps for Mr. Cheek who died October 11 in Mercy Regional Medical Center at Vicksburg after a brief illness. A native of Mangham, Mr. Cheek has resided in Tallulah for 30 years. He was a retired route salesman for Royal Crown Bottling Co. for 51 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Cheek of Tallulah; two sisters, Mrs. Merle Pee of Birmingham, Ala. and Mrs. Mae counts of Fort Worth, Tex.; a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bill Ziegler, Richard Marshall, Harold Bolton, W. M. Green, Alfred Holmes and Wilbur Hattaway.
