All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Opal Dry Christian - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 26, 1987 Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Dry Christian, 74, of Tallulah were held today at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed at 3:30 p.m. in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Logansport under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Christian died late Saturday afternoon at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Deadwood, Tex. and had lived in Tallulah for 49 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, taught Sunday School and was a member of W.M.U. She was a housewife and the former secretary-treasurer of M. B. Christian Laboratories. She is survived by her widower, Moss B. Christian; three sons, Merlin B. Christian of St. Joseph, Bill Christian Sr. of Lafayette and John Christian of Tallulah; two brothers, Neill Dry of Baton Rouge and Cliff Dry of Rayville; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandsons, David Christian, Bill Christian Jr., Mark Christian, John Moss Christian, Bob Christian and Steve Christian.
