Years Old
Hilda Collier Clack was born on May 27, 1939, and went to her heavenly
home on May 5, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Eula Maxwell Collier;
her husband, Edwin Lamar Clack; sons, Donald Lynn Clack and Phillip Lamar
Clack; and sisters, Martha Jordan and Marjorie Murphy. She is survived by her
children, Vicki Clack Collins (Danny), and Bruce Edwin Clack (Diane);
daughters-in-law, Cindy Clack and Kathy Clack; grandchildren, Heath Clack,
Brent Clack, Shawn Clack, Emily Clack, Jeramie Clack, Austin Collins, and
Addison Collins, seven great grandchildren; sister, Kathy Sharplin; numerous
nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Lawrence Smith.
Hilda was retired for several years from the Madison Parish District
Attorney's Office. She also worked for many years for the Madison Parish Clerk
of Court.
Hilda was an avid gardener until her health deteriorated. She loved
working in her yard, and it truly showed. She and Lamar loved taking vacations
with her sisters and their spouses. She also enjoyed many sisters' only trips.
Most of those trips were to plant nurseries to grab new plants for their yards.
She loved daylilies and roses, and her yard was quite beautiful during her
active years.
Pallbearers will be Heath Clack, Brent Clack, Shawn Clack, Austin Collins,
Mitchell Jordan, and Jeramie Clack.
Services for Hilda will be at First Baptist Church of Tallulah on
Saturday, May 10, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with the funeral
service at 11:00 AM with Bro. Jay Parker officiating, Burial will follow at
Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah.
