Clark - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Daytona Beach (FL) News-Journal February 20, 2008 Memorial service for John A. Clark, 68, Daytona Beach, who passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Great is the Lord Ministry, in the Daytona Mall, 128 N. Nova Rd., Daytona Beach, with Pastor James Kearse, Sr. officiating. John was born in Tallulah, La., on August 16, 1939, and moved to this area in the early 1970s, where he started his life in the restaurant chain, as a chef/cook for 25 years up until his retirement. In the years to follow, John enjoyed playing the lottery and being a respectable part of the community by keeping busy and helping others whenever and however he could. During his fight with cancer, John was determined to beat the odds. And in doing so, he took a life expectancy of 6 months and turned it into 10. When all the worst was expected, he overcame every obstacle. His will and virtue rubbed off on us all, and we will always have a part of something he instilled in each and every one of us. His strong will and divine duty to his responsibilities were a fine example for all to follow. He will be truly missed, as a father and a friend. He was predeceased by his parents, Ned and Pearlie Mae Johnson-Clark. He is survived by two sons, Brandon and Shannon Clark; two daughters, Sharon and Charlene Clark; brother, Ned Clark; sister, Lula Mae Clark; and several nieces and nephews. He truly can rest in peace and know he did a JOB WELL DONE! BZ
