L. Clawson, local grocer, dies Saturday Funeral services for Wilbur Lee Clawson, 68, of Tallulah, who died Saturday in a Vicksburg hospital after a brief illness, were held Monday at 10 a. m. in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home here. The Rev. J. D. Corley officiated with burial following in Green Acres Cemetery at Vicksburg. Mr. Clawson, a native of Illinois, had resided in Madison Parish for the past 26 years. He owned and operated a grocery store in Tallulah. Mr Clawson was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include a widow, Mrs. Josie Clawson of Tallulah; his mother, Mrs. Susie Clawson of Garden Grove, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. J. J. Hooper of McErven, Tenn.; two brothers, Leslie Clawson of Chicago. Ill. and Laverne Clawson of Garden Grove, Calif. Pallbearers were Norwood Varnado (and others.)
