He was of the Baptist Faith; he graduated from Tallulah High School and attended the College of the Redwoods in Eureka, CA. Majoring in Fish, Wildlife and Forestry he also special training in fire fighting thus making him lead his crew in fire fighting. In his early years he was a member of the boy scouts participated in all sports but excelled in football. Johnnie was a kind hearted man who was a friend to everyone he met. He is preceded in death by his father Johnnie R. Collins Sr., Grandfather Ras Barry Reece grandmother Beulah Sullivan Reece, James H. Reece and Ricky D. Reece. He is survived by his mother Carolyn Reece Collins, Sister Lisa L. May, Son Johnnie Raymond (Kerstin) Collins III, Grandson Liam Raymond Collins niece Mia Mahoney (Joey) Barrett, Pamela L. Mahoney, and a host of other nieces and nephews. Uncle R.B “Pee Wee” (Barbara) Reece of Tallulah, La., David D. (Nan) Reece of Louisville, Ky., John W. Reece of Tallulah, Aunt Betty J. Reece ( Granduille) Harris of Tallulah, La., Addie Mae Reece ( George) Wilhedme of Fern Creek, Ky., Vergion Ann Reece Mangrum of Memphis, Tn. Memorial service will be September 18, 2016 from 2:00pm-3:00pm at the Glenwood Chapel in Tallulah, La. Visitation will be from 2:00pm until the hour of service at the funeral home. Rev. Jason Lupo will be conducting the service under the direction of Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home.
