All rights reserved. ************************************************ Ira Ogden Coody - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post January 3, 2001 TALLULAH - Ira Ogden Coody died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. He was 80. A native of Texas, Mr. Coody had lived in Tallulah for the past 10 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a farmer. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Lee Harrison Coody; and a son, George L. Coody. He is survived by three sons, Bill Coody of Monroe, Leon Coody of Pineville, La., and Lyn Coody of Oxford, Ala.; three sisters; Leona Hattaway of Tallulah, Willie Mae Hilderbrand of Vicksburg and Roberta Storm of Illinois; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Herringville Church Cemetery in Monticello, La. Visitation will be Wednesday night at the funeral home.
