Cook - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star June 1, 1936 TALLULAH, La., June 1. - (Special) - Funeral services for E. W. Cook, prominent planter of Anguilla, Miss., whose body was found in the charred ruins of his home Saturday morning, were held at Silver Cross cemetery here late yesterday. Rev. F. J. Plutz, Catholic priest of Tallulah and Lake Providence, officiated. Mr. Cook is survived by his widow, Mrs. May Harvey Cook, formerly of Tallulah; son, Harvey Cook of New York, who arrived by plane for the funeral; his mother and one sister of Jackson, Miss.; and a sister of California. A number of friends and relatives from Shreveport, Lake Providence and Anguilla attended the services.
