Couch - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 14, 1988 Funeral services for Mr. Gus L. Couch, 56, were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron McClellan officiating. Burial was in Mulhearn Memorial Cemetery in Monroe under direction of Crothers. Mr. Couch died Thursday after a short illness. He was a native of Lake Providence, a resident of Forney, Tex. and a longtime resident of Tallulah. He was self-employed as a contractor and was a member of the Transylvania Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Aida Couch of Forney; three sons, Gus Couch Jr. of Monroe, Terry Couch of West Monroe, David Couch of Forney; two step-sons, Timothy Tucker of Kaufman, Tex. and Jeffery Barfield of Folson; three daughters, Becky McKee of Parksdale, Ark., Sherry Gregory of Columbia and Gustie Stewart of Forney; one step-daughter, Patricia Tucker of Forney ; two brothers, Huey Couch of Riverside, Ca. and Billy Couch of Brandon, Miss.; five sisters, Juanita Collins of Transylvania, Enola Hopkins of Tallulah, Christine Worthington of Baton Rouge, Morene Evans and Lucille Thompson, both of Brandon and six grandchildren. Nephews served as pallbearers.
