Cox - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg MS Post June 23, 2007 TALLULAH - Armon B. Cox died Friday, June 22, 2007, at Madison Parish Hospital. He was 77. Mr. Cox was born in Plain Dealing, La., and had lived in Tallulah for 65 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a retired farmer. He was a member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy E. Cox; and two sons, Charles D. Cox and A. Keith Cox. He is survived by his wife, Carol Jean Cox of St. Joseph, La.; a son, Larry Gene Cox of Tallulah; a daughter, Kathy Cox Grady of Tallulah; two stepsons, Fred Spires of New Iberia, La., and Dale Spires of Oren, Utah; one stepdaughter, Karen Hughes of North Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Gene M. Cox of Tallulah; one sister, Mary Lucy Brown of Tallulah; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Services will be at 9 a.m. today at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah with the Revs. John Rushing and John Magnuson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Tallulah.
