Crawford - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 26, 1970 Joseph Crawford Dies; Rites Held Saturday Funeral services for Joseph A. Crawford 59, Downsville, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Aulds Chapel Church with the Revs. Eppinette and Aulds officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Crawford died Thursday. He was a resident of Tallulah for several years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ethel Crawford of Downsville; two daughters, Mrs. Jo Ann Spillers of Minden and Miss Barbara Gale Crawford of Downsville; two sons, Col. Roy L. Crawford of Kansas City, Mo. and Billy R. Crawford of Downsville; five sisters, Mrs. Eunice Brown, Mrs. Ora Gaston and Mrs. Mamie Liner, all of West Monroe, Mrs. Roxie Hawkins of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Lester DeLouche of Sulphur; two brothers, Clay Crawford of Tallulah and Pierce Crawford, of Downsville; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lavelle Howard, Carl Jordan, James Coleman, Murray Washam, Gerald Collins and Ray Jobe. The body was in the chapel of Spears Funeral Home in Monroe until 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
