From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home December 19, 2017

 

Funeral services for Mr. I. T. Crothers, age 81, of Monroe, Louisiana, will be Thursday, December 21, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Tallulah, with Bro. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday at 1:00, with the service at 2:00 at the church.

 

Mr. Crothers died Sunday, December 17, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Mac Crothers, brother, Phillip Crothers, and his beloved wife of 58 years, Sarah Gene Crothers.

 

He is survived by his daughters, Ginger Weems (Glynn) and Kelly Honeycutt (Jessie Thomas), four granddaughters, Kate Neal (Gary), Haley, Hope, and Holly Honeycutt, four great-grandchildren, Austin, Remi, Colton Neal and Briar Hall, sisters, Punkin Paxton (Sonny) and Duggar Todd (Bobby) and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Crothers.

 

Pallbearers will be Daryl Ellerbee, Eric Givens, John Robert Gaumitz, Patrick Glass, Heath Ezell, Bart Wood, Ryan Baker, and Robert Hugh Dozier. Honorary pallbearers will be all his football players.

 

Mr. Crothers taught school and coached for 50 years.

 

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in memory of Coach Crothers to St. Jude, Ouachita or Tallulah Humane Society, Paws of Northeast La, or Tallulah Academy.
