All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Leathan Smith Cupit - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 8, 1989 Funeral services for Mrs. Leathan Smith Cupit, 91, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. Duewayne Tullos officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Damascus Church Cemetery at Lucian, Miss. under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Cupit died Tuesday in the Madison Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Franklin County Mississippi and had been a resident of Tallulah for the past 45 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Parkview Baptist Church. Survivors include five grandchildren, JoAn Scott Hudgins of Plano, Texas; Helen Scott White of Melton; Linda Scott Bedgood of Athens, Tex., Tammie Scott Burchfield of Plano and Walter T. Scott Jr. of Garland, Tex.; 14 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Durwood White, Bill Hudgins Sr., Corey White, Bill Hudgins Jr., Mike Burchfield and Jack White.
