All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Neal Cupit - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 11, 1976 Funeral services for Neal Cupit, 81, of Tallulah were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Xxascus Baptist Church near Lucien, XX, with the Rev. Bobby Brown and Frank Shields officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Mr. Cupit died Thursday at Mercy Hospital Center in Vicksburg, Miss. after a long illness. He was a native of Franklin County, Miss. and a resident of Tallulah for 35 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Tallulah. He was a farmer and carpenter. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Leathan Cupit of Tallulah; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Terrell of Memphis, Tenn.; four granddaughters, one grandson, and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Billy Hudgins, Durwood White, Melvin Bedgood, Walter McIntyre, Buddy Smith and Bilbo Smith.
