All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** James Richard Daniels - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star November 9, 1959 MONTROSE (Special) — James Richard Daniels, 72, Montrose, died in a veterans hospital Sunday following a long illness. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Baptist Church and the American Legion. He was a native of Clark[e] County, Miss., and had resided here for the past 30 years. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today at the Montrose Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brown, assisted by the Rev. J. A. Bryant officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery. The body was at Young's Funeral Home in Tallulah until time for services. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Hutchinson Daniels; a daughter, Mrs. Carley Williamson, Tallulah; two brothers, Cleveland Daniels, Shubuta, Miss.; Gus Daniels, Waynesboro, Miss.; and three grandchildren. There were American Legion rites at the grave. Pallbearers were George Hopkins, Howard Sevier, Billy Ray Arender, Charlie Hopkins, Onward Bullard, Shelton Townsend, Luther Harvey and Warren Hopkins.
