Day - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 8, 1966 Services Held Monday For H. B. Day Funeral services were held Monday for H. B. Day, 86, who died Saturday at 5 a. m. at the Madison Parish Hospital following a brief illness. Services were conducted in Tallulah Methodist Church at 9:30 a. m. with the Rev. Clark Bell officiating. Burial followed in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Jackson Miss., under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. A native of Crosby, Miss., he had resided in Tallulah for the past 42 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge and Knights of Pythias. Before his retirement he was a bookkeeper for Yerger Oil Mill for many years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Berniece Day, Tallulah; one son, Herbert Day, Alexandria, La.; a daughter, Miss Joyce Day, Port Arthur, Texas; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ben Scruggs, Max McDonald, Bob Brown, George Speed, M. A. Phillips, and I. T. Crothers.
