Services Held Monday For H. B. Day

Funeral services were held Monday for H. B. Day, 86, who died Saturday at 5 a. m. at the Madison Parish 
Hospital following a brief illness. Services were conducted in Tallulah Methodist Church at 9:30 a. m. with 
the Rev. Clark Bell officiating. Burial followed in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Jackson Miss., under 
the direction of Crothers Funeral Home.

A native of Crosby, Miss., he had resided in Tallulah for the past 42 years. He was a member of the Methodist 
Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge and Knights of Pythias. Before his retirement he was a bookkeeper for 
Yerger Oil Mill for many years.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Berniece Day, Tallulah; one son, Herbert Day, Alexandria, La.; a daughter, 
Miss Joyce Day, Port Arthur, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ben Scruggs, Max McDonald, Bob Brown, George Speed, M. A. Phillips, and I. T. Crothers.
