All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ John William Deckard - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 25, 1985 Services for John William Deckard, 79, were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah with Father Louis Voorheis officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Deckard died Thursday at Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness. An Indiana native, Mr. Deckard had lived in Madison Parish for 50 years. He was Catholic and retired welder and machinist. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Cleo Welch of Tallulah, Mrs. Lucille Gilbert of West Monroe and Mrs. Adilene Conkline of Harriman, Tenn.
