B. DeMoss, Sr., Held Saturday Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon for Claude Brown DeMoss, 74, who owned and operated a plantation at Alsatia north of Tallulah. Services were held at the Tallulah Methodist Church at 3 p. m. with the Rev. Wilson Watson officiating assisted by the Rev. W. V. Sirman. Burial followed in the Rayville Cemetery. Mr. DeMoss was originally from Kentucky and had lived in Richland Parish. He was a director of the Federal Land Bank of Lake Providence and a member of the Delhi Methodist Church. He is survived by two sons, C. B. DeMoss, Jr., and W. M. DeMoss , of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. W. H. Hanna, Delhi and Mrs. Bill Williams,Springerville, Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Hosse, Alsatia, and Mrs. Jack Farmer, Rayville; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
