All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Inez Ward Demoss - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 16, 1999 Mrs. Inez Ward Demoss, age 85, died on June 11. Burial and internment was held Sunday, June 13 at St Edward's Catholic Church in Tallulah, Father Ferre' D'Cruz officiating. Mrs. DeMoss, a native of Algiers, had lived in Tallulah since 1942. A graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing, New Orleans, she was a Public Health nurse in Bienville Parish for six years prior to her marriage in 1941 to C. B. DeMoss, Jr. She was an at-home-mom from 1942 until her husband's death in 1970. She then returned to nursing at Delhi Hospital. She retired in 1984. DeMoss was preceded in death by her husband, C. B. DeMoss, Jr. and her son. Claude DeMoss, III. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and C. L. Keene, and Margaret and Pat Gilfoil of Tallulah, Betty and Russell Petersen, Monroe; and daughter-in-law, Janice Sue S. DeMoss German, Slidell; grandchildren, their spouses and children, Mary Kathryn and Nap Book and Katie and Anna Beth; C. W. and Alyce Keene and Chelsea; Meg Keene: Mary Ann and DeWitt Ginn and Emily and Anna, Mitch and Martha Gilfoil. Jamie and Wendy Gilfoil, Rodney Dun, Clint and Jennifer Durr and Maggie, Chad DeMoss, Josh DeMoss, and Claude DeMoss, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Grandchildren served as pall-bearers. Any planned memorials may be made to St. Edward's Catholic Church, Mary's Children's Home, Alexandria or a charity of the donor's choice.
