All rights reserved. ************************************************ Betty Bea Dennis - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vallejo CA Times Herald, November 29, 2006 Betty Bea Dennis Feb. 7, 1925 - Nov. 24, 2006 Betty was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Watkins Sr., of Tallulah, La. She grew up in Tallulah and moved to Vallejo in 1943. Betty was employed by Mare Island Naval Shipyard. In 1946 she met and married Marshall Dennis Sr. and to this union they were blessed with three children. Betty was affectionately known to family and friends as "Mother." Mother dedicated 40 years of her life to managing and operating her own business where she passionately cared for elderly handicapped individuals. She departed this life Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, leaving to mourn two sons, Willie Stewart of Hayward, Marshall Dennis Jr. of Vallejo, daughter Joyce Elahi of Vallejo, sister Olivia Kinsey of Orsville, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 at Skyview Funeral Chapel, Vallejo. Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Union Baptist Church, Vallejo. Burial will be at Skyview Memorial Lawn.
