All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ellis Dodson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 9, 1971 Ellis Dodson rites held Ellis Dodson, 59, of Tallulah died Monday at 9 a. m. enroute to a doctor's office here of an apparent heart attack. Funeral services were at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the Parkview Baptist Church, of which he was a member with the Rev. Herman Savoie officiating. Burial followed in the Providence Memorial Cemetery here. Mr. Dodson was a farmer and a resident of Madison Parish for 25 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Catherine Dodson of Tallulah; four daughters. Mrs. Warren Hopkins, Misses Kathy Kay and Georgia Dodson, all of Tallulah and Mrs. Kenneth Channell of Vicksburg; his mother, Mrs. Eva Dodson of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Watson of Shreveport, Mrs. Beaulah Hartsfield of Magnolia, Ark., and Mrs. Oradell Lee of DeWitt, Ark.; four brothers. Arthur Dodson of Shreveport, Bud Dodson of San Antonio, Tex., and Champ and A. L. Dodson of Magnolia, Ark., and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Elmer Neill, Onward Bullard, Mose Owen, John Frank Olvey, Bob Craft and Tom Lochbrunner.
