Donovan - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 30, 1968 Funeral Services For J. N. Donovan Held On Tuesday Funeral services for John N. Donovan, 79, were held Tuesday at 3 p. m. at the Tallulah Methodist Church with Rev. Clark Bell officiating. Burial was held in Green Acres Cemetery Park in Vicksburg, under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Donovan died unexpectedly Saturday of an apparent heart attack. He was a native of Issaquena County, Miss., had resided in Tallulah since 1945 where he was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruth Riddle Donovan; three sons, Dr. J. W. Donovan, Vicksburg, Edgar R. Donovan, Columbus, Miss., and Kenneth Donovan, Baytown, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Heloise Acre, Canton, Okla., and Mrs. Jacquelyn Hollis, Vicksburg, Miss: 11 grandchildren and 100 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Barton Sevier, James Bowles, J. C. Donovan, Cacel Razer, Charles Reed and William Riddle. Honary pallbearers were members of the Men's Bible Class of the Methodist Church.
