All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ruth Riddle Donovan - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 2, 1978 Mrs. Ruth Riddle Donovan, 88, died Tuesday night at Vicksburg Hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Crothers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ned Stout officiating. Burial will be in Green Acres Memorial Cemetery in Vicksburg, Mrs. Donovan was a native of East Carroll Parish, and had lived Tallulah for 32 years. She was a housewife, a retired sales-clerk, and member of the First United Methodist Church in Tallulah. Survivors include three sons, Dr. Donovan of Vicksburg, Miss., Dr. G. R. Donovan, Columbus, Miss., and Kenneth N. Donovan of Baytown, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Heloise Acre, Canton, Okla., and Mrs. Jacquelyn D. Hollis, of Tallulah; one brother, James Sanford Riddle, Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Clara Williams, Lake Providence; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be James Bowles, Louis Nettles, Joe Reynolds Jr., Nolan Daughtry, John L. Moody, and William Thomas Riddle.
