All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Mel Doss - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post October 30, 2007 TALLULAH -- Mel Doss died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at his home in Tallulah. He was 62. Born in Jacksonville, Fla., Mr. Doss lived in Alaska for 20 years and had been a Tallulah resident for 11 years. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He flew planes for the U.S. government before retiring from the Department of Defense. He was a member of Elks B.P.O. No. 95. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn C. Doss of Tallulah; and a daughter, Melanie Ann Goodwin of Alaska. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service.
