Drew - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 6, 1953 Stuart Drew Rites Held Las Sunday Stuart M. Drew, resident of Madison Parish for the past nine years, died at a Vicksburg hospital last Saturday after a lengthy illness. He was 59. Mr. Drew was office manager for the Ashly Company. He was a member of the Scott-Nicol-Voak Post, American Legion, and was a Shriner and a Mason. He was a member of the Episcopal Church. Surviving are his wife; four sons, Stuart Drew, Jr., Greenville, Miss.; William H. Drew, Lake Village, Ark.; Joe N. Drew, Crossett, Ark.; and Boots W. Breckinridge, Newellton; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Lott of Benton, Ark.; and Mrs. Peachy B. Corley of Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. L. S. Drew of Lake Village, Ark.; one sister, Miss Madeline Drew, Lake Village, Ark.; one brother, Gayden Drew, Jr., Brookhaven, Miss., and ten grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at the Crothers Funeral Home here. The Rev. J. Daniel Gilliam officiated. Burial followed in the Lake Village, Ark., cemetery. Pallbearers were Chris Keller, Kenneth Weimer, C. H. Murphy, Jr., all of El Dorado, Ark. ; C. W. Kennedy, Harry Holt and Earl Johnson, all of Tallulah. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Mahoney, C. H. Murphy, Sr., Geo. W. Webb, Dr. George M. Webb, Rex Rorex, Paul Gaines, Dr. L. M. Ferris, N. Friedman, Dewitt Brabham, J. S. Salley, Clayton Ray, Frank Davis, L. C. Goss, Carl Cook, A. C. Smith, Williams Parks and W. H. Cooper.
