All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Arthur Norwood Duke - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 31, 1972 Norwood Duke services today Arthur Norwood Duke, 71, died Tuesday at the Madison Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Arkansas, Mr. Duke had lived in Tallulah for the past 32 years. He was formerly a seed buyer for Paymaster Oil Mill of Tallulah. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Methodist Church. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Nadine Duke, one son, A. N. Duke, Jr. of Vicksburg, his stepmother, Mrs. Larra Duke of Tulsa, Okla.; four brothers; J. E. Duke of Memphis, G. W. Duke, Jerry Duke and Donald Duke of Tulsa, two sisters; Mrs. S. W. Jordan of Jackson, Miss. and Mrs. Nettie Morrow of Tulsa. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Crothers Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Corley officiating. Interment will be in Providence Memorial Cemetery.
