All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Dan Dunning - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 7, 1961 Local Resident Dies Recently In Monroe Hospital Dan Dunning, 77, of Tallulah, died Thursday, March 30 in a Monroe hospital following a brief illness. A native of Cairo, Ill., Mr. Dunning had been a resident of Madison Parish for the past 25 years, and was a former employee of the Chicago Mill and Lumber Company. Services were conducted last Saturday in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with the Revs. Bobby Brown and Will Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Surviving Mr. Dunning are a son, W. C. Dunning, Tallulah; a brother, Pat Dunning, St. Joseph, S. C.; and a grandchild, Tommy Dunning, also of Tallulah. Pallbearers were C. O. Neighbors, Herman Thornton, Jr., George Smith, Marion Smith, Rufus Axton and O. W. Hogue.
