"Pete" Dutton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, June 10, 1982 Services for John G. "Pete" Dutton, 82, were June 29 at 11a.m. in the Rabenhorst Funeral Chapel in Baton Rouge with the Rev. Sherrard Rice officiating. Burial was in the Resthaven Gardens of Memory under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home. Mr. Dutton died May 28 in the Regional Medical Center in Rouge. He was the principal of Tallulah High School from 1930 to 1934. He was a retired Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries employee and a veteran of World Wars I and II. He was a Mason, a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the LSU "L" Club. He was a former director of the East Baton Rouge Parish Welfare Department and former high school principal of Hammond and Denham Springs high schools. Survivors include his wife, Jane E. Dutton of Baton Rouge; his son, John E. Dutton of Baton Rouge and several nieces and nephews.
