Edleston - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 6, 1990 Funeral services for Mr. Jodie E. Edleston, 62, of Delta were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. B. L. Calcote and Rev. E. B. McGee officiating. Burial was in the Rolling Fork Cemetery. Mr. Edleston died Sunday at the Jeff Davis Hospital in Natchez. He was a native of Rolling Fork and had been a resident of Delta for the past 28 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a retired police officer-T.P. 23--of Delta and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Natchez. Survivors include two sons, Jodie H. Edleston and Tommie A. Edleston, both of Vicksburg; eight daughters, Leona Weathersby, Charlene Saldana and Darlene Saldana, all of Tallulah, Joyce Day of West Monroe, Linda Ott and Bobbie Taylor; both of Delta and Hazel Hammack and Francelia Thomas, both of Vicksburg; four sisters, Katie Jones of Greenville, Miss., Ollie "Pete" Sanders of Tallahassee, Fla., Ann "Tuby" Ray of Natchez, Irene Coon of San Augustine, Tex.; 32 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Butch Brown, Bruce Odom, Don Edleston, Earl Edleston, Robert Earl Cochron and John Wesley Cochron. Honorary pallbearers were Willard Ray, Roscoe "B. B." Moore, C. H. Odom, Paul Barrett, Jimmy Brooks, Nathan Coon and Johnny Trischell. \
