Birth:  Feb. 22, 1920 Bolton, Hinds County, Mississippi, USA 
Death:  Jul. 28, 1970 Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, USA 

The first son and the second of seven children born to Charles Franklin EDWARDS and his wife 
Cora Mae FRANKLIN. Born in Bolton, Hinds County, Mississippi.

Served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Married Thelma SANDIFER Cruse on 27 January 1947 
in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. Served two more tours of duty in the U.S. Air Force. 

Father of Lois Elaine Edwards and Robert Allan Edwards.
