Elledge - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 11, 1991 Funeral services for Mrs. Valencia R. Elledge, 60, were held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Elledge died Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Madison Parish Hospital. She was born in Little Rock, Ark. and had lived in Tallulah for 58 years. She was a homemaker, retired secretary of the Madison Parish School Board and a member of the First Baptist Church. She attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana and was employed at Shields Dress Shop. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Mack Elledge of Tallulah; two sons, Ken Elledge and Steve Elledge, both of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Diane Holland of Tallulah and Carolyn Halbach of Monroe; four grand-children and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Ted Ivey, Chris C. Kimbell, Charles W. Beene Sr., Bob Laird, Ira Hugh Irvin and Billy Hodge. Honorary pallbearers were the employees of the Madison Parish schools. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, the Tallulah First Baptist Church or to your favorite charity.
