All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************* Julia Clement Ellis - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, February 23, 2011 MONROE, La. — Julia Clement Ellis died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at St. Francis Specialty Hospital. She was 81. Mrs. Ellis was born in Waverly, La. She had lived in Lake Providence for a number of years before moving to Monroe in 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of Christian Life Church in Monroe. She was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Ellis Sr.; her sons, George F. “Bubba” Ellis Jr., Richard “Bo” Ellis and Matthew “Matt” Ellis; six brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include four sons, James Ellis of Kiln, Buddy Ellis of Shelbyville, Tenn., Johnny Ellis of West Monroe and Michael DeAngelo of Monroe; four daughters, Genia Arthur and Sharon Kavanaugh, both of Vicksburg, Linda Jane Ellis of Monroe and Lynn Moravety of Friedricksburg, Va.; one brother, Ray Clement of Choudrant, La.; one sister, Mary Opal Shelton of Calhoun, La.; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg with the Revs. Danny Chance and Doyle Moulder officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
