Funeral services for Mr. Arlis “Shorty” Edgar Etheridge, II, age 76, will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro. Jason Lupo officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah.

Mr. Shorty passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at his home in Mound, Louisiana. He was born January 29, 1945, in Eudora, Arkansas, to Arlis Edgar and Mamie Dee Blunt Etheridge. He attended Transylvania High School where he played football. In 1963, he voluntarily enlisted in the U S Army where he served his country for three years during the Vietnam War. He married Judy Marshall on June 15, 1968, and they had four children, Candy, Tammy, Andy, and Arlis, III “Sonny”. He retired from Cooper Lighting in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where he worked in maintenance for 20 plus years.

Mr. Shorty was preceded in death by his parents, Arlis and Mamie Etheridge; his wife of 45 years, Judy Marshall Etheridge; his daughter, Andy Etheridge; and his son, Arlis “Sonny” Etheridge, III.

Mr. Shorty is survived by his daughters, Candy Rinicker (Timmy) and Tammy Sit (Humphrey); grandchildren, Josh Peterson, Mark Arnold, Dana Smith, Heather Gerache, Gloria Sit, Alex Wright, Kimberly Gardner, Rebecca Ethridge, and Arlis “Skylar” Etheridge, IV; and great great grandchildren, Gracie Smith, Joshuah Peterson, Carlisle Arnold, Abel Gardner, Korra Wright, and Fletcher Wright.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Gerache, Preston Pittman, Alex Wright, Chip Wright, Skylar Etheridge, and Ray Gilmore.
