All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Susan Caldwell Evans - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 20, 1986 Services for Susan Caldwell Evans, 41, of Houston, Texas were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17 at Riser and Sons Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial was in Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Mrs. Evans died Aug. 14 in Houston after an extended illness. Memorial services were held in Houston on Aug. 16 under the leadership of Judge Love, with participation by friends and relatives. Funeral services were presented by Rabbi Schwartzman of Vicksburg and Mrs. Evans' sisters. A graduate of Tallulah High School and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Mrs. Evans was employed as a probation supervisor by the Department of Corrections in Houston. Daughter of Genevieve Caldwell and J. D. Caldwell of Tallulah, Mrs. Evans is also survived by her son, Kenny Evans of Houston; two brothers, James D. "Buddy" Caldwell and Louis Caldwell, both of Tallulah; four sisters, Dr. Sandra Jolson of Maitland, Fla., Lisbeth Jane Abramson of San Diego, Ca., Irene Gosey of Slidell and Sara Bess Wood of South Laguna Beach. La. Additional survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; uncle Johnny Calton of Columbia and aunts Irene Minsky of Tallulah and Lola Caldwell of Columbia. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
