All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Elton Everett - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 31, 1985 Services for Elton Everett, 81, were at 2:30 Friday at Brown and Holly Funeral Home chapel, Oak Grove, with the Rev. Harry Barnes officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. He died Wednesday at a Mer Rouge nursing home after a long illness. Mr. Everett was a native of Braxton, Miss., former railroad agent and a retired merchant, member of Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include one brother, Carl Everett of Forest; five sisters, Mrs. Era Lee Burchfield of Oak Grove, Mrs. Eunice Sullivan of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Marie Johnson of Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. Fordie Keeth of Plain Dealing, Mrs. Bessie E. Rogers of Forest; several nieces and nephews. Members of the Masonic Lodge served as honorary pallbearers.
