Funeral services for Elmer Joseph "Joe" Ezell, Jr. will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The funeral will follow in the Chapel with Bro. Jason Lupo officiating. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana.

Joe passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at Madison Parish Hospital at the age of 82. Joe was born on June 15, 1939, in Wisner, Louisiana, to the late Bertha and Elmer Ezell Sr. Joe was an Active Duty Veteran for the Army and was deployed in Korea. He also worked for the U.S. Corp of Engineers out of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he retired after thirty years of service. After retirement, his hobby included working on mechanical equipment.

Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Stephens Ezell; father, Elmer Joseph Ezell, Sr.; brother, Willie Paul Ezell; and sister, Josephine Richmond.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margaret Francis Jacobs Ezell; brother, Paul Ezell, wife Brenda, of Houston, Texas; two sons, Kevin Ezell of Alexandria, Louisiana, and Chad Ezell, wife Amber, of Tallulah, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Caroline Ezell, Cole Ezell, and Ellea Ezell.

We would like to thank Dr. William Garr, Dr. Donald R. Perry and the Madison Parish Hospital staff for their wonderful care we received during this time.

Pallbearers will include Craig Cox, Brian Cleveland, Bub Rash, Jeremy Purvis, Ed Atcheson, and Brandon Wiltcher. Honorary pallbearers are the Deputies of the Madison Parish Sheriff's Office.
