All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************* Jerry Fairbanks - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, July 2, 2011 Jerry Fairbanks, 68, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2011, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Tallulah. Visitation will be held at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah tonight from 5 until 7. Jerry was born May 12, 1943, in Washington, Ind., where his father was serving in the Navy. He graduated from Tallulah High School in 1961. He continued his education at Louisiana Tech and graduated with a degree in agronomy. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed everything about the outdoors. He loved spending time with his four children and their families. He was a beloved husband, a treasured father, a cherished grandfather and a friend to all. He was gentle and humble in heart. His smiling face will be greatly missed on this earth, but shines brightly for eternity. Jerry Fairbanks was preceded in death by both of his parents, Alvin Jerrel Fairbanks Sr. and Ruth Marie Campbell Fairbanks. He is survived by his wife, Sue Weems Fairbanks of 47 years; his son, Donnie (Lauren) Fairbanks; his daughter, Jan (Jay) Thomas; son, Doug (Mary Katharine) Fairbanks; son Clay (Candy) Fairbanks; his grandchildren, Hunter Key, Drew Key, Brian and Brandon Fairbanks, Hannah Thomas, Haley Thomas, Katy Ruth Fairbanks, Will Fairbanks, Cam, Cass and Conner Fairbanks; his brother, Bill (Dale) Fairbanks; and his sister, Martha Gene (Randy) Evans.
