Mrs. Farrar was born on December 25, 1922 in rural Tallulah, LA. She came to New Iberia in 1951 with her husband and three daughters where she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church for 20 years. She and her husband then moved to Vidalia, LA where she faithfully served the Lord for 40 years at First Baptist Church. She treasured life-long friends she made there. Four years ago she returned to New Iberia and became a resident of Azalea Estates where she made many friends.

She enjoyed sewing, making most of her daughters' clothing while they were growing up. She crocheted afghans, made quilts, and did beautiful needlepoint that she shared with family members and friends. She loved ministering to shut-ins and visiting those in the hospital. She spent many happy times on mission trips with her friends at First Baptist Church in Vidalia. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her three daughters, LaVoyce Klem and husband Bob of Copperas Cove, TX; Eloise Lacy and husband James of Youngsville and Annette White and husband Bob of New Iberia; seven grandchildren, Chantel Cothran, Charisse Anderson, Ben Lacy, Rachel Broussard, Rebecca McAfee, Marc White and Keith White; fifteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
