Farr - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, September 15, 1967 Funeral Services Held Wednesday For Mrs. Florence Farr Funeral services for Mrs. Florence A. Farr, 68, who died in the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Miss., Monday morning after an illness of 15 days, were held Wednesday at 10 a. m. Services were conducted at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hurt officiating. Graveside services were held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Hamburg, Miss., with Old Southern Mortuary in charge of arrangements. She was a resident of Tallulah for many years and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Louis Farr, Sr., Tallulah; three daughters, Mrs. James Waldern and Mrs. Charles Waldern, both of Woodson, Arkansas; and Mrs. Jack Varner, Tallulah; three sons, Louis E. Farr, Jr., Houston, Texas; David Farr, Littleton, N. C.; and Tommy Farr of Tallulah; two sisters, Mrs. L. B. Farr, Sr., and Mrs. Iva Whitehead, both of Roxie, Miss; and 17 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bobby Rawls, Joe Reynolds, R. W. Dunn, Phil Smith, J. W. Powers, Danny White, J. C. Dykes and J. C. Byram.
