Funeral services for Mr. James A. Federick will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 7, 2023, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Father Bill Echols officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.

Mr. Federick passed away at his home in Mound, Louisiana, at the age of 92. He was born May 16, 1931, in Carthage, Mississippi, to Arthur and Audrey Weaver Federick. He moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi, in 1956 where he started his first automobile business. Selling cars became his life's work. Mr. Federick married Ednah Yerger in 1956, and they had two children. They lived in the Tallulah/Lake Providence area for 36 years. During the 1970's and 1980's, Mr. Federick and his wife, Ednah, owned a restaurant chain "Papaw's Catfish" with locations in Louisiana and Mississippi. Mr. Federick liked to cook, travel, and garden. He loved watching car races and football. He was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Mr. Federick is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Ednah Yerger Federick, and seven of his siblings.

Mr. Federick is survived by his two children, Margaret Federick Crews (Buddy) and Andrew Federick (Darlene); five grandchildren, Katie Kavanaugh (Michael), Anna Wade, Beth Cummins (Michael), Mary Margaret Walpole (Aaron), and Jason Crews (Jami); ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Schloss and Jan Holmes; and special niece, Carolyn Park.

Pallbearers will be Jason Crews, James Thomas Crews, Corbin Crews, Michael Kavanaugh, Michael Cummins, Robert Federick, Mark Federick, Aaron Walpole, Jamison Walpole, and Tyler Wade.

The family would like to thank the caregivers, Quala Riggs, Krystal Vaughn, and Carolyn Park, for the excellent care they provided for Mr. Federick.
