Fisher - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 21, 1968 E. H. Fisher, Local Barber, Dies Wednesday E. H. Fisher passed away Wednesday, June 10 at 11 a. m. at Delta Haven Nursing Home in Tallulah following a lengthy illness. Mr. Fisher was born in Winona Mississippi on October 8, 1898 but has lived in Tallulah for the past 44 years. He owned and operated Fisher's Barber Shop and his happy ways and funny jokes will be remembered and quoted by residents of Madison Parish for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mildred Bell Fisher of Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Hand, Starkville, Mississippi; one son, Harold Fisher, Blue Mountain, Mississippi; two brothers, Frank Fisher, Winona, Mississippi and Guy Fisher of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. W. L. Townsend, Helena, Arkansas and Mrs. Ben Shute, Coila, Mississippi; and six grandchildren. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Tallulah at 10 a. m. Friday, with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Burial will be in Winona, Mississippi, with graveside services at 3 p. m. at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Old Southern Mortuary. Pallbearers are Herbert Jones, George Spinks, C. H. Causey, Reid Watts, M. A. Wroten and M. N. Batchelor.
